Friday, November 1, 2019, is the 10th anniversary of our firm: Good Leadership Enterprises. On Halloween, 2009, I quit my job – with the love and encouragement of my wife Melinda – and dove into the icy waters of entrepreneurship. Ten years later we’re still floating, and it’s time to celebrate! Here’s what you will miss if you can’t be there:
The party is called the Bucket List Bash for three reasons:
- Owning my own coaching business was a Bucket List item for me nearly 25 years ago. We will have games of chance for people who are willing to share some of the items on their Bucket List.
- Mark Bergman, a good friend and mentor, and I wrote The Bucket List Book together in 2016 – a whimsical, research-based leadership book that told our two stories. He is sponsoring the smokin’ hot swing dance band Too Darn Hot, for the party.
- With Mark’s help, the guests of the Good Leadership Breakfast have raised more than $300,000 for charities, using Mark’s invention – the HANDy Paint Pail (affectionately called the “Bucket of Goodwill”) – as a fundraising technique.
The Bucket List Bash is a benefit for Make-A-Wish® Minnesota – an organization that grants life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses. The connection between our goodness philosophy of leadership, and the healing qualities of an aspirational wish is a perfect fit! Here’s the information, will you please join us to celebrate?
