Goodness pays, because goodness grows! Last Friday, the Thanksgiving season started early with a standing-room-only crowd at the final Good Leadership Breakfast of 2015. The Benny Weinbeck Trio set the happy tone with live jazz music to prepare us for featured speaker Mike Ott; an Air Force veteran and President of US Bank Private Client Reserve.

The big winner of the day was Kurt Nelson, President of the Lantern Group, who won the Bucket of Good Will drawing. More than 250 guests contributed $6,108 – including a match from Mark Bergman, CEO of HANDy Paint Products. With that donation, total gifts from the Bucket of Good Will now total more than $150,000 in less than six years. Goodness grows!

Nothing Significant Ever Happens Alone

GLE-FB-TW-INST-NothingSignificant-560x455In reflection this morning, I’m grateful for all of the sponsors who make the Good Leadership Breakfast possible. I’m just the catalyst…our team does all the real work. But it’s the sponsors who are truly spreading goodness.

Here is the list of the sponsor organizations who invest their money, invite guests and contribute their good will to accelerate the goodness movement.

Good Leadership Breakfast sponsors Dan McGinty of Allina Health, joined Jodi Harpstead (center) of Lutheran Social on stage with our co-host, Teresa Daly of Navigate Forward.

Leading the way is Cargill, who continues to be the presenting sponsor. US Bank Business Advisory Services, HealthPartners, Winthrop & Weinstine and Allina Health are the Series Sponsors – which means they underwrite the ongoing costs of the marketing and costs associated with the production talent.

Each breakfast has a Meeting Sponsor to cover the food costs for that specific meeting. The 2015 meeting sponsors: Masters Alliance, Keith Moeller a Northwestern Mutual Estate and Business Planning advisor, Cresa Partners, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Bremer Bank and Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota.

Coffee sponsors provide the support needed to keep the coffee flowing, the breakfast running smoothly and ensure the speakers receive a $500 stipend to donate to their favorite charity. They include: Generation Group, Hysjulien & Associates, Navigate Forward, Bavender Custom Clothiers, The MPX Group and OrangeBall Creative.

Looking ahead

If you are curious about the speakers for next year, watch this blog in December…or purchase season tickets here.

Good leaders build a movement around their ideas. And they count on the teamwork of others to keep the goodness growing.

Please share with me: where do you see goodness growing around you today?
